SCHOOL'S SPORTS
( 2007 April -1 ).
The third Annual School’s sports was held on
4.1.07 in the school sporting ground .The event
was opened with an opening speech by Saya Saw
Thaung Kyi ,Executive Secretary of Evangelism
Department (temporary) followed by prayer by the
Executive Secretary of Communication and
Teaching Aids Production Department .The owns
continued with various contests supervised by
staff of MCFB .
A Ceremony of Paying Respects to Teachers and
Elders.A Ceremony of Paying Respects to Teachers
and Elders for the academic year 2006-2007 was
held for the 20th time .altogether (22) teachers
attended the ceremony .
Rev.U Thein Lwin Delivered a sermon after which
the students presented gifts to the teachers
.Guests were entertained with refreshments .
Myitkyina Education Centre for the Blind had
admitted (75)Blind children .With the increase
of numbers of students ,accommodations are
needed .Thus for the construction of a
three-storey Girl’s Dormitory , aground-breaking
ceremony was held on 9th December ,2006 .The
building was constructed with the hope ,beliefs
and that it will be dedicated on December 8th
,2007 .Will wishers and

ON 26th FEBRUARY,
(6) ophthalmologists from Australia came visited
our Blind School and made invitations and eye
tests for the children .They also donated
medicine and gave instruction for the prevention
are care for Blindness.
Agacr on 8th March the team arrived at Myitkyina
and made survey and eye-test for (29) children
under16.
CHILD FOCUS NETWORK (CFN).
A workshop concerning the Rights of
children was held from March 22-24 at YMCA under
the sponsorship of CFN.
The workshop was attended by staff
representation and students of World Vision
,Save the children , Child Care Centre ,Grace
Home ,Salvation Army ,YMCA ,Yangon Education
Centre for the Blind.
CERTIFICATE AWARDING
CEREMONY AND CHARITY STAGE SHOW
A Certificate awarding ceremony for vocational
students followed by a Stage Show was held on
23and 24 March in this School Compound.
In the first part of the ceremony ,certificates
were awarded to Students who had completed their
vocational training and (3) staff of MCFB who
had served for (20) and (10) years were awarded
gifts and honorarium .
In the second part , stereo singers such as
R.Zarni , S’Kenneth , L.Lun Wah , Po Kar , Saw
Poe Kwa , Heh Lay , Aung Naing , Hackett ,
William , Hlaing Oo Naw , J.Nyi Nyi , Aung Ban
,New Yee Win ,Yadanar Oo ,Shin Pone , Gu Gu ,Ah
Mue ,Thi Lwa Nu ,Gyo Gyar ,Cindy ,May Myat Noe
Lwin ,Baby ,N.Tyra with theirsongs as a gesture
of love and care for the Organization .
MCFB's CHRISTMAS
CELEBRATION
MCFB annually celebrated
Christmas and for the
year 2006, the celebration was held on 23rd
December, 2pm. In the ceremony the Associate
Secretary of MCFB delivered the Christmas
message in the worship service CEC members,
invited guests, donors, staff and student
attended the Ceremony.
In the second part, CEC, volunteers and staff
were presented with gifts and were entertained
with Dinner.
INTERNATIONAL WHITE
CANE DAY
On October 15th, 2006, the International White
Cane Day was held under the sponsorship of the
Yangon City Development Committee.
Altogether (586) Blinds participated in this
event. They are from the Kyimyindine Blind
School, Sagaing Blind School, Pyin Oo Lwin Blind
School, Kawechan Blind School, St. Mary workshop
for the Blind, Thingangyun workshop for the
Blind, Hlaing Thayar Su Paung Ahman Blind Group.
The starting point is in front of the People�s
Park. The Mayor of Yangon started the event by
firing the Pistol.
The Mayor himself and his family, the Committee
members and personnel of YCDC also took part in
the walking event. The finishing point is the
Yangon City Hall. Along the way, public and well
� wishers pretended drinks, water and food to
the participants as a gesture of love.
In the record part, students from various
Schools entertained guests with songs presented
gifts in kinds to various Blinds Schools and
workshop.
YOU CAN SHOW LOVE AND
CARE
Saw win Phuy was born on April 7th, 1999 in Doh
Kamer village in Myeik, Tenasstin Division Among
(4) children he is the third child. His parents
are U Dah Tall and Naw Dah His. They are Kayin,
Christians. His mother died and he was is cared
for by his father who is earning his living as a
farmer. As the father has to struggle and work
hard for their living, he can�t take care of the
Child for his heallt and Education intersively,
with the help of his swter, on October 30th ,
2006. The Child was brought to Kawechan Blind
School. He is now learning in K.G Class at the
School for the acadermic year 2006-2007. He is
intelligent and so you can show your love and
care by sponsoring him.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF
THE DISABLE
In commemoration of the International Day of the
Disabled, a sporting event was held from 12th
-13 October, 2006 at the Aungsan Stadium. In
sprints. Javelin, high Jump and Long Jump
events, (12) students from kawechan Blind School
took part(3) Gold Medals, (5) Silver Medals and
(1) bronze had been won.
On November 23rd a singing Competition was held
in Kawechan Blind School, a Competition in
cane-weaving was held in Kyimyindine Blind
School, a Competition in drawing was held in
Mary Chapman School for the Deaf. In these
Competitions (35) students from YEC participated
and (9) First Prize, (6) Second Prize and (2)
Third Prize had been won
On the International Day of the Disabled which
was held on 3rd December, Prizes were awarded at
the Ceremony, at International Business Centre.
ANNUAL PRIZE
DRSTRIBUTION
The Annual Prize Distribution of the School was
held on 21st October, 2006 in MCFB�s Hall. The
Ceremony was attended by the CEC members, doners
and well-wishers, students and staff.
Prizes were distributed to students who stood
first in their respective class. Then the
students entertained guests with Songs, dance
and a short play.
THE SILVER JUBILEE OF
MYITKYINA EDUCATION CENTRE FOR THE BLIND
In Commemoration of the Silver Jubilee of
Myitkyina Education Centre for the Blind a
thanks giving program was held from 8-10
December, 2006 in the School Compound. It was
attended by CEC members of yangon, students and
invited guests. In the wining, songs and plays
by VCD produced by MCFB were presented. Songs of
Praise and workship by CMF were also presented.
At retreat for MCFB staff was held from 12th to
15th December, 2006. The General Secretary, Rev.
Thein Lwin of MCFB. The Pastor of Sai Taung
Church Rev. La Bya Naw Taung and Rev. Sumlut Tan
Aung of the Kachin Concil of Chruches, gaves
Bible Study.
We pray and send our best Wishes to our clients
and donors who encourage our Massage Parlour to
be healthy and happy in the New Year.
The workshop has been exparded and in this New
Year the fees for Japanese Massage is K3000 and
for Food Reflexology K3500/- Doners and
well-wishers may come and visit our workshop and
buy our products such as Door-malt, and other
Cane and bamboo-work as well.
